To camp or not to camp? That is the question.

Hey, friends.  How has your spring break been?  Mine has been exciting.

Ali brought home three friends with her: Jordan from Louisiana, Rand from Palestine, and Nadia from Brazil.  Wow, right?

Add Rebekah into the mix as well and we were a loud group of girls with lots of accents, lots of stories, and lots of fun.  Between all of us were so many languages: English, American Sign Language, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Arabic.

Last night, we got together and had a cookout before heading back to my house where we played Disney Karaoke and Just Dance.  Rand sang the Disney songs in Arabic, which was pretty funny... and neat.

As you can see, Ali and I were finally reunited after two long months.  I'm not a very touchy person... and the people I hang out with in Aggieland aren't really either.  Needless to say, Ali's extreme affection is something I only receive when I'm around her.  I pretend like I'm overwhelmed, but I suppose I don't mind so much.  So long as it's from Ali.

But it was great to see my sister again.

Ali was thrilled for me and Jordan (her college best friend) to finally meet.  We've talked on Skype quite a few times, but we'd never met in person.  Jordan's pretty awesome.

And Ali made sure we became friends.

Today we went thrift store shopping.  Nadia and Rand had never gone before.  Thrift store shopping is a big thing we do... we don't always find something to purchase at these stores, but we always find interesting things there.

Like these dolls.
I was pretty amused by the one in the blue dress.  It just didn't seem to fit.
The girls all are going camping on Thursday and they want me to join them.

See, the thing is: I'm not an outdoorsy kind of girl.  Although I love walking around outside, I don't know if I can handle the idea of sleeping on the ground.  In a sleeping bag.  Outside.  All night.  I just don't know.

They're still working on me.

And I'm still deciding.  What do you think?  Should this city girl risk camping out in the wilderness or should I stay in my warm bed?

Oh yes, today is your last day to vote in my poll on the right.  What is your love language?  I want to know!

  1. Go camping. I went for the first time last semester and I don't regret it. It was a great bonding time for me and my friends and we always bring it up . I'm not an outside person either but the experience was a blast.

  2. The first and only time I camped out before was at Spirit West Coast in 2005. It was a nice experience but I don't think I'd stay outside again because I'd prefer to stay as a spoiled, sheltered kid until I graduate college. :P

  3. I have been caping more than once when I was younger. I liked it then, but now I think I would want to stay home in my warm bed. But if you are doing it with friends I think it would be more fun.

  4. Do it! I've done it loads of times, and with friends, it's awesome! Take an air mattress or a roll mat, and with some warm clothes and a sleeping bag, you'll be warm enough- I've been camping in the depths of an English winter, you survive! It's great fun, and a good way to spend time together. At the end of the day, we regret what we don't do- if you try it, and don't like it, well, it's one nasty night, but you might love it, and it'd be a shame to miss such potential for fun- I think you'd regret missing out!!
