Something I wrote tonight when my mind was too tired to study any longer.

Tatters

I lay my heart at Your feet.

There isn't much to share.

What I have is fragile, marred,

My every secret bared.

You cradle my crumpled heart

Without a taste of scorn.

You wipe my slate like new again.

I quiet in Your warmth.

Like a lamb, I totter near,

Then leap into Your arms.

You're gentle, tender, peaceful,

A shelter from the storms.

I cannot help but stand in awe
Of the love within Your gaze.

I placed my tatters at Your feet.

You renewed me with Your grace.
