Has anyone seen this bird? His name is Disney. He was last seen at around four o'clock in the afternoon, on January 14, 2010, flying off into the distance.
How did this happen, you ask? Let me tell you the story.
My sister was watching Disney for a friend. That's right. He isn't our bird, at least not anymore. Disney was our pet cockatiel for a few months, and then we gave him to a new home.
Amy was so excited that he was at our house that the second she got home, she ran and took the top off his cage so that she could say hello without the boundaries of metal bars around him. My brother was coming in from outside. Disney's wings are unclipped. Our dogs started barking loudly. In a sudden fright, Disney was up, up, and away... and then away... until we couldn't see anything else of him.
My mom and my sister have spent the last hour wandering the land around our house, calling out his name.
If you happen to see a gray cockatiel that answers to the name Disney and can whistle the Andy Griffith song (and several other tunes and phrases), then you may have found our bird. He is going to have a very sad owner if he is not found.
