I'm shorter than my friends.

Yesterday was both a good day and a sad day.  It was a sad day because Ali had to go back to college a week earlier than the rest of us since she has a job.  After church, my family and two other families went out to eat.  Rebecca, Rebekah, Ali, Rachel, her boyfriend, and I sat at one table.  

At the restaurant, a waitress came up to us and said, "You kids have been so well-behaved this entire lunch.  I've never seen kids act as nicely as you have."  It was sweet of her to say, but I don't think she realized that we were all college students and that the oldest of us was nearly twenty-one.  Oh, well.  We were happy to make her day. 

It was sad to say goodbye to Ali.  A few tears were shed and many hugs were shared, but she had to go.

A little while after Ali left, we received some good news.  Our friend Zeek from high school was finally coming into town.  I hadn't seen him in six months!  He and Brently, another sweet friend, came right over to spend time with me, Rebecca, and Rebekah. 

Zeek is nearly up to 6'8 now.  See how tall he is even on his knees?

We all talked and played the ukulele and spent some time together and then we headed over to a burger joint and had dinner and shakes.  It was so good to spend time together.  It was just like old times, minus Ali.  We sure missed her last night.  We prayed for her two different times throughout the night as a group.  It's so neat to be able to have such a close group of friends, even when miles and time separate us.

Finally, we returned to my house and played Quelf, which may be the funniest board game ever.  (Go get it.  Seriously.)

Zeek isn't leaving town until Thursday, so we will all enjoy the time we have together until then.
